Customized Training For Channel News Asia
Most international news channel have news bureau in different locations, to provide better news coverage for their viewers. From Tokyo to Shanghai, Channel NewsAsia has correspondents in major Asian cities and key Western ones, including New York, Washington D.C, London and Brussels. Recently we had the pleasure of training their news bureau based right here in Hong Kong.
We have seen Channel NewsAsia on now TV here in Hong Kong, but many people wasn’t aware that they have a news bureau office in Hong Kong. Channel NewsAsia Singapore was established in March 1999, and is an English language Asian TV News channel. It reports on global developments with Asian perspectives. Channel NewsAsia (International), was launched in September 2000, as the international broadcasting arm of Channel NewsAsia Singapore. It is now viewed in 24 territories across Asia. The satellite footprint of the channel stretches across the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia and Australia.
The training was attended by experienced correspondents but first time Final Cut Pro Users. A customized training course was created to fit their tight schedule and training needs. We had previous training experiences with other broadcast news channels before. So we understand their workflow. The timeframe to deliver the latest news can be extremely intensive. Highly portable editing station like running Final Cut Pro on a laptop, can be a time saver for correspondents who are on the road.
